Founded in 1996 in Piacenza by Teresa Farina, Paola Achilli, and Michele Cozzi—and then transformed into Serena Srl in 2001—the company was born from many years of experience in the meat sector and immediately established itself as a point of reference in the brokerage of fresh and frozen meat.
From the outset, our goal has been clear: to connect suppliers and customers, creating a solid and reliable bridge between supply and demand, with a fast, transparent, and efficient service.
We operate in European and non-European markets, with an established presence in Europe, Africa, Asia (including Vietnam, the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Cambodia), Canada, Chile, and throughout Eastern Europe.
In 2005, Serena Romania was founded in Oradea, a company dedicated exclusively to the Romanian market, sourcing meat from Europe.
In 2022, driven by the need to better match customer requirements with supplier offerings, Serena Trading was established as the group's commercial company, focused on the direct sale of meat.

A look to the future: our commitment to the protein sector
Alongside its long-standing activity in the meat market, Serena closely monitors changes in consumption and new requirements in the food industry. For several years, we have also been operating in the protein powder sector, a rapidly expanding market that encompasses both human nutrition and pet food.
In this area, we serve as international intermediaries between producers, processors, and distributors, offering our expertise in the purchase and sale of low-, medium-, and high-functionality meat proteins.

Thanks to decades of experience in the field of pork, poultry, beef, and sheep meat brokerage, our company boasts a solid network of contacts in Italy and abroad, with a particular focus on providing an efficient service that is always up to date on the market and on the health documentation necessary to carry out import/export operations.
Serena Srl and Serena Trading are organised around a team of 12 highly qualified professionals, divided into two operational departments that work in constant synergy.
SALES DEPARTMENT
representative covers a specific market, speaks the customer's language fluently, and provides accurate, timely technical and contractual assistance. The department is constantly updated on price trends in the main European markets. It can offer the best purchasing or sales solutions by selecting the most suitable product based on final destination, budget and required quality.
SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS OFFICE
with extensive experience in the sector, it handles all logistics management for export by truck or sea, particularly frozen meat, with the utmost professionalism. The staff carefully monitors every stage, from transport coordination to document and health checks, as well as customs formalities, ensuring that the documentation is complete, valid, and compliant with the destination country's regulations.
The team provides 24-hour operational support to respond promptly to any need or unexpected event.
